I have read some reviews and been told by readers, the book
was a bit simple in writing and may have ben done better. However, after
reading the book, I agree it was a simple concept in writing, but this style
was perfect for the masses.
One can look around and can ascertain the population as a
whole is getting dumber by the generation. Technology or no technology. Has
anyone received the experience of a fast food clerk contemplating the exact
change on their own and being stumped? Or have you wondered why the public
school system grading scales continue to slide down in order to have the
reviews improve?
This tongue in cheek observation can also be surmised by geneticist.
“Human intelligence may have actually peaked before our
ancient predecessors ever left Africa, Gerald Crabtree writes in two new
journal articles. Genetic mutations during the past several millennia are
causing a decline in overall human intellectual and emotional fitness, he says.
Evolutionary pressure no longer favors intellect, so the problem is getting
exponentially worse. He is careful to say that this is taking quite a long
time, so it’s not like your grandparents are paragons of brilliance while your
children will be cavemen rivaling Hartman’s SNL character. But he does posit
that an ancient Athenian, plucked from 1000 BC, would be ‘among the brightest
and most intellectually alive of our colleagues and companions.’”
When viewing the Christian biblical account, this same idea
is found in the annals of the bible. The very good creation of God in Genesis,
began to deteriate once sin was chosen and adopted by Adam and Eve. This
deteriation can be seen as time
continues. It would only make sense, in whole, the intelligence would also deteriate.
We live in a culture quick to be bored, and do not wish to
contemplate much, if we do not have too. With this in mind, the style provided
by Jonathan Cahn’s book provides the best means for the current culture to
digest. Easy read, but gets the point across in a conversational way.
The book centers around the verses found in the book of
Isaiah., chapter nine.
“9 And all the people shall know, even
Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the pride and stoutness of
heart, 10 The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the
sycamores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars. 11 Therefore the
LORD shall set up the adversaries of Resin against him, and join
his enemies together; 12 The Syrians before, and the Philistines behind; and
they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned
away, but his hand is stretched out still.”
A prophecy to Israel during the time,
but transitions to America during the 9-11 event. The book goes into detail
with explanation, and incredibly provides citations to show the relationship of
the prophecy with the event. This
provides the reader a journey of explanation, with facts, if they wish to dig
deeper. A perfect means to educate the simple, while providing material for the
more interested.
One aspect of the prophecy was not
discussed to my satisfaction and I wanted to dig a bit deeper .
Found in verse 11 “..the LORD shall set
up the adversaries of Resin against him, and join his enemies together;” Who is Resin?
I find in the commentaries, Resin is
understood as the Assyrians.
“Some understand the whole of Israel,
against whom the adversaries of Rezin, namely, the Assyrians, would come, as
they did, and invade their land, and carry them captive; with whom were various
other people, as follows.” (http://www.biblestudytools.com/commentaries/gills-exposition-of-the-bible/isaiah-9-11.html)
Who is the modern day Assyrians?
This interesting information is found,
when dealing with the ancient Assyrians and the Hebrews. “Whereas there would be little cultural
contact between the conquered and the conquerors in early Mesopotamian history,
under the Assyrians the entire area became a vast experiment in cultural
mixing. It was the Assyrian monarch, Sargon II (721-705 BC), who first
forcefully relocated Hebrews after the conquest of Israel, the northern kingdom
of the Hebrews. Although this was a comparatively mild deportation and
perfectly in line with Assyrian practice, it marks the historical beginning of
the Jewish diaspora. This chapter in the Jewish diaspora, however, never has
been really written, for the Hebrews deported from Israel seem to have blended
in with Assyrian society and, by the time Nebuchadnezzar II conquers Judah (587
BC), the southern kingdom of the Hebrews, the Israelites deported by Sargon II
have disappeared nameless and faceless into the sands of northern Mesopotamia.”

Note how the northern Hebrews were not
so much as conquered in war, but were conquered by assimilation. A diverse
cultural experiment, where the result of the Hebrews became a “nameless and
faceless into the sands of northern Mesopotamia”.
Do we know of another country
experiencing a cultural experiment, having the original ideals of the founders
being erased? I think we are seeing this happening at a faster rate in America.
This changing from a Republic state to a more Socialist state in America did
not start with the current president Obama. This movement was already in
motion, and escalated under president Bush, with the Patriot Act removing our
privacy (after the 9-11 event), and continues to increase in speed.
This assimilation process would also
coincide with Daniels interpretation of the prophecy of the last kingdom or
state having 10 toes, mixed with clay and iron. United Nations under the Club
of Rome has already created 10 regions.
The
fall of America, by taking on the same Israel prophecy of Isaiah 9 is occurring.
Appears we are heading toward the full assimilation of the final 10 kingdoms.
